Explore our work with Cogent, a clinic providing evidence-based psychological services for men. With a strong focus on science, clarity, and utility, they needed a new image to reach more of their target audience in Guelph and surrounding areas. We collaborated closely with founder Simon Peter K Smith, MA, C. Psych., to develop a sleek brand, user-friendly website, content package, and paid ads to boost consultations for new clients.

Strategy

The Challenge

Cogent sought to enter a niche market and needed to increase leads in their target demographic. Their initial brand lacked identity, making it challenging to tell a story to their audience.

Our Process

To start building a solid client base, Cogent needed to tap into the preferences of their main audience to really speak to the right demographic. We strategized to leverage brand and messaging to target the right market for their services.

We Delivered

We crafted a modern brand identity and an optimized website to encourage engagement and make therapy more accessible. To amplify reach, we also created ads that reinforced Cogent’s mission of providing practical, science-driven mental health support for men.

Utility Focused Branding

Cogent’s new brand identity features rich tones and classy imagery. The new branding was thoroughly considered by our creative team to capture the attention of their audience of men looking to try evidence-based therapy.

Logo Design

Cogent’s vintage typography and iconography are displayed in shades of brown and blue. The key in their logo icon represents unlocking mental barriers in therapy. The serif wordmark was crafted to match their identity of utility and class.

Interactive by Design

We designed and developed the Cogent website to host their external client portal and self-hosted consultation form. Our team skillfully planned the user journey to compel leads to learn more about their services, or to book directly. The website uses brand colours and imagery of men to target the main audience. Our team ensured the online journey was user-friendly, with information being easily accessible and compatible with any device.

Conversation Focused

A conversion experience was central to our approach, making it simple for leads to consult with Cogent about their services. We integrated a secure and intuitive form that supported a complementary consultation option.

Improving user experience by adding multiple user journeys enhanced visibility. Not only did it improve the efficiency of booking, but also strengthened the connection between Cogent and their target audience.

Paid Advertising

At Topsite, we are dedicated digital marketers. A large portion of our partnership with Cogent involved a robust social media strategy to increase monthly leads.

For organic socials, we developed consistent, branded templates for Cogent to use. For paid socials, we have been running multiple Meta campaigns to both raise brand awareness and drive conversions to their new website.
