National Service Dogs
Explore our collaboration with National Service Dogs (NSD), a non-profit organization committed to changing lives. Their Certified Service Dogs offer invaluable support to individuals with PTSD and Autism, while also assisting through Canine Assisted Intervention and Skilled Companion Dog programs.
To strengthen NSD’s impact, they needed two key things: more donations and more volunteers. Our role was twofold—first, to design a modern, user-friendly website that made these actions seamless, and second, to drive engagement through email marketing, social media, and paid ads, ultimately boosting conversions.

Strategy
The Challenge
As a nonprofit organization, NSD faced challenges in increasing donations and recruiting volunteers. While their mission of “Changing Lives Through Service” is impactful, their digital presence needed to better connect with their audience.
Our Process
We created a cohesive strategy for NSD to enhance awareness, streamline donor and volunteer processes, and increase engagement through improved user experiences. Our strategy ultimately drove support for their mission.
We Delivered
Our user-friendly website for NSD focuses on key actions like donating, volunteering, and program education. To boost their engagement, we developed branded materials, ran targeted ad campaigns and emails, and streamlined the volunteer application process.

Changing Lives Through Service
Since 1996, NSD has graduated 622+ certified service dog teams. They have helped organizations globally start their own Autism Programs, and have since launched 3 new programs: Certified Service Dogs for PTSD, Canine Assisted Intervention, and Skilled Companion Dogs.

A Modernized Strategy
Our strategy team worked closely with NSD’s donation and volunteer staff to ensure we understood their main goals as a non-profit organization. Knowing their main pain points helped us identify where improvements in user experience could be made. This strategy spanned across their brand new website, email designs, social media profiles, and paid advertising.


Donations
A seamless donation experience was central to our approach, making it simple for donors to contribute to NSD’s cause. We integrated their secure and intuitive platform that supported multiple payment options.
Improving user experience by adding multiple user journeys enhanced donations. Not only did it improve the efficiency of fundraising, but also strengthened the connection between NSD and its community of donors.
Email Marketing
To keep their brand look cohesive, our creative team developed email designs and templates for the NSD’s team use.
In addition to this, our main focus was to advance donations for Giving Tuesday, one of NSD’s largest focuses of the year. Our content team created compelling messaging and sent emails to segmented audiences to increase the amount of donations fundraised.

At Topsite, we are dedicated digital marketers. A large portion of our partnership with NSD involved a robust social media strategy to increase both donations and volunteers.
For organic socials, we developed consistent, branded templates for NSD team’s use. For paid socials, we have been running multiple Meta campaigns to both raise brand awareness and drive conversions to their new website.
